Session Synopsis
Today’s enterprises are confronted by a rapidly growing stream of disruptive forces:
- Globalisation
- Mobile devices
- New collaboration models
- Energy management
- And more recently the threat of recession
Simultaneously information technology is rapidly expanding to make many new applications economically viable. However, the cost of managing IT has doubled since 2000 putting the data centres under pressure to do more with less. As corporations intensify their focus on delivering innovation, pressure to improve data centre efficiency and agility will continue to grow.
In this keynote I will discuss the relative advantages of virtualisation and how this is a key business enabler.
Session date: Tuesday, February 24, 2009 - 1:30pm
